Technology Services
Technology
Today, many families are moving away from their roots and exploring new opportunities. This, however, can prove challenging when faced with the loss of a loved one, especially if there is no way to travel home for the service. Our funeral home offers many technological services to help accommodate everyone during a time of uncertainty. Listed below are the ways we are able to use technology to bring closure to those going through a difficult time.
Online Tribute Page
Families can elect to have a tribute page created on our website at no additional cost. This includes a picture of the deceased, obituary, service and memorial contribution postings. Additionally, there is a place for folks to enter online condolences and/ order flowers. If a person wishes to have a memorial slideshow or video of the service, it would be uploaded to this tribute page as well.
Memorial Slideshow
Our funeral home can create a slide show using photographs and even short video clips. This can be set to customized background music if chosen. Our funeral home would email a link to the family and pictures and clips can be uploaded directly. The video is in an MP4 format and may be burned on a DVD or stored on a flash drive. These photographs can be memorialized in a soft cover book if chosen.
Service Video/ Livestream
Once the family has given us permission, we can upload a video of the service to the deceased’s online tribute page. This video is usually available the next day. When services take place at the funeral home, we are able to live stream the services to the deceased’s tribute page. The service is automatically recorded in case there is a break in connection. At this time, we do not offer live streaming from locations other than the funeral home, only recording of the service. The helps alleviate any technical difficulties and possible loss of footage.
