Service Options
We believe strongly in helping families choose the right service options at an affordable price. Our traditional services offer families experiencing grief a choice on how they want to memorialize their loved one.
Traditional Service with Burial
Many families choose this option because it gives them more time to remember their loved one and visit with family and friends. With traditional burial, the family may have an afternoon and/or evening of visitation with a funeral service to be held the next day. Traditionally those at the funeral service then process to the cemetery for a committal service.
Simple Service with Burial
Families may choose this option because it still offers a visitation and formal funeral service, but in a more simple format. Everything is done on the same day at one location. The visitation is usually held 1 - 2 hours prior to the funeral service and committal service. After the funeral, family is welcome to come to the cemetery and witness the burial, however, there is no formal committal service.
Graveside Service with Burial
For those who want something more simple, a graveside service is best. This is a small service held directly at the cemetery and is usually no longer than 30 minutes. A family can elect to have a public or private viewing before going to the cemetery for services.
Immediate Burial
This service is for those who want to services to be held. For this service the funeral home takes the deceased individual to the cemetery and family is welcome to witness the burial if they so choose.
Green "Natural" Burial
Currently there are no cemeteries in Midland County that accommodate a full green burial. However, our funeral home is able to work with our families to be as environmentally conscious as possible. This may include embalming with less toxic chemicals or no embalming at all, minimal services, and specially created biodegradable products. In addition to any services chosen to be more environmentally friendly, our funeral home already tries to reduce our footprint as much as possible. This includes recycling, reducing the amount of waste we produce, and conserving resources when possible.
Other Options
The above options are the most commonly selected services, however, our firm is able to customize services that best fit your needs. Please discuss any special plans with us and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Other Considerations
When burial has been chosen the main topic, aside from what services will be performed, is where the burial will take place. Those who have previously purchased cemetery property should try and bring those documents to the arrangements conference. For those who have not purchased property, our funeral directors will put you in contact with the cemetery to purchase burial sites.
