Community involvement
Community Involvement
The Midland Community has trusted Wilson Miller Funeral Home with their needs for well over a century, and for that we are truly grateful. As our business has grown we have had the opportunity to reinvest in our community in very unique ways. We understand the importance of keeping things local along with supporting our youth.
Midland County Fair
Kyran J. Miller, former owner of Wilson Miller Funeral Home, started many years ago the tradition of supporting the county's youth during the Midland County Fair. Every year Craig and Tyler look forward to receiving letters from 4H members announcing the sale of their project. They personally attend the auction and actively participate. Any projects that are purchased by the funeral home are then donated to an area of greatest need.
Northwest Little League
Supporting the children of Midland County has always been important to us. We are a proud sponsor of Northwestern Little League. They have done very well over the years and we are very proud of their accomplishments.
Midland County Veterans Association
Most of the staff at Wilson Miller Funeral Home have a personal connection with someone who is or was in the armed forces. We thank all current and past service members for their service, including our funeral assistant, Barry Thurston. It is with gratitude that we support our veterans organizations and local funeral honors team.
Midland Area Shrine Club
The Midland Area Shrine Club does so much to support the Midland Community. We appreciate all they do and try to support them the best that we can. Our funeral assistant, Barry Thurston is a member of this club.
Other Involvement
Other organizations we are actively involved with include many churches in the area, Midland Antique Engine Club, Midland Area Chamber of Commerce, Midland Noon Rotary and the Sanford Area Chamber of Commerce.
