Obituary

Walter L. Woodruff, age 83 of Sanford, passed away Tuesday March 22, 2022 at his residence. The son of the late Orville J. and Alma (Raymond) Woodruff was born in Midland on March 8, 1939. He was a graduate of Midland High School and attended University of Cincinnati. Walter was employed with many different construction companies. He enjoyed doing woodworking, collecting guns, going to his cabin in Harrison, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family. Walter was a proud owner of a 1956 Belaire.

Surviving is his wife, the former Janithan Anderson, of whom he married on August 25, 1962 in Midland; son, Joshua Woodruff; daughter, Wendy (Bryan) Baranowski; grandchildren, Zack (Jessica) Baranowski, Courtney Baranowski, Michael Woodruff, Maegan, Malorie and their mother, Jennifer; great granddaughter, Bristol Baranowski; sisters, Pat Mowery, Diane Woodruff. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by a daughter, Courtney Beth; brother, Richard Woodruff; sisters, Norma and Shirley Woodruff.

Per the wishes of Walter cremation has taken place and a private burial service of his ashes were interred in Jerome Township Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
