Lillian H. (McDonough) Holland

Lillian Harriet Holland, age 99 of Midland, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at K and K Adult Foster Care Home. She was born in Lake, Michigan on April 26, 1923 to the late William and Ester (Fenner) McDonough. She graduated from Bay City Central High School and was married to Gerald Holland before his death in 2004.

Lillian was a social person and held many positions over the years. She was a lifelong member of American Legion Post 239 Auxiliary in Crump where she served as the first President. Lillian worked with the Senior Center in St. Helen, Michigan and was an active member with Council on Aging in Houghton Lake. She enjoyed crafting and will be remembered for the love she had for her kids and grandkids.

Surviving are her son, Daniel (Rolanda) Holland; 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and sister in law, Deanna Holland. In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian was preceded in death by her children, Gerald (Marcia) Holland, Marcia (Ben) Lauria, and Diane (Mike) Lobodzinski; and brothers, William and Albert McDonough.

The family would like to thank all the members of K and K Adult Foster Care Home for the wonderful care they provided to Lillian.

Funeral services for Lillian will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday November 30, 2022 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery near Battle Creek. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be offered to an organization of one’s choice.
