Jerry Gene Sweebe, age 83 of Midland, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born January 12, 1939 to the late Charles Homer and Mary Margaret (Schaefer) Sweebe, he and his sister, Sara, were the first set of twins born that year in Midland County. He was raised and educated in Midland graduating from Midland High School in 1957. On February 14th, 1993, Jerry married the former Piccola Hund-Bird in Midland.
Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Piccola Sweebe; siblings, his twin Sara (Lloyd) Krotzer, Neal (Patricia) Sweebe all of Midland, Chris (Marilyn) Sweebe of Pinellas Park, FL, Mary Frances (Darryl) Hahn of Midland, and Sandy (Dale) Demski of Dayton, TX; step children, Ed (Yvonne) Bird, Penny (Scott) Tolfree, Lisa (Rod) Wood, and Theresa (Bret) Atkinson; many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Jay (Cheryl) Dauer and Elwood (Donna) Cartwright.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty June Jacobs, Lawrence Sweebe, and Jon Sweebe.
Jerry’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to all people that have helped them and Jerry through these hard times.
All are welcome to attend a graveside service for Jerry that will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Poseyville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered either to Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Midland, Humane Society of Midland County, or an organization of one’s choice.
