Our dear Eric crossed the bridge Sunday, July 16th to join his favorite dog, Noodles, his sister, Peggy Clark, and Dad, Red (William) Strack. Eric, born Dec 5, 1959, was a strong and loving son and brother. He worked for the Arnold Center for many years, including for 11 years as a contractor at the Dow Corning Corporate Center. He was a talented wood carver and enthusiastically watched good football and golf games. He was an avid Boy Scout; he loved camping and bowling and swimming and playing golf and basketball and soccer. For many years, he was a fierce and compassionate (he won the State of Michigan Special Olympian of the year for helping a fallen competitor in the mile event losing his large lead for first place) competitor in the Special Olympics, and especially loved track and field and skiing events. He provided those in his life with hugs and his warm, home baked chocolate chip cookies. He loved and was loved by the many dogs in his life. He died following complications of sepsis and respiratory failure. He is survived by his mother, Alice Strack and his sisters Susan Strack and Alison Strack (Barry Levin). Donations may be made in his name to the Humane Society of Midland County. No services are scheduled, arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
