Debra Lynn (Waskevich) Andrews

Debra L. Andrews, age 66 of Midland, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Cascades Senior Living in Midland. The daughter of the late Stanley and Janet (Vinson) Waskevich, Debra was born in Midland on June 20, 1956. On September 16, 1978 she married Wayne Andrews.  After 42 years of marriage, Wayne passed away on April 20, 2021.

Debra was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and wife.  She loved to cook and would make holidays and events extra special with her skills.  Her daughters always looked forward to helping her make a few of her Christmas staples, which were homemade fudge, sugar cookies, and Chex Party Mix.  Debra was famous for bringing her taco salad to family gatherings and was given a hard time if she brought something else.

Debra also loved board games (especially Scrabble).  She was very competitive and would often insist on playing them into the night on the weekend (even if her competition was falling asleep).  In addition, she was an animal lover that especially adored cats and rabbits. 

Anybody who had met her would describe her as a talkative woman that was easy to get along with.  She could chat up a storm with complete strangers, which is something her mother used to do as well.  She had a big heart and will forever be missed.

Surviving are her daughters: Alyssa Taylor and Jennifer (Lance) Parks; grandchildren: Belle Andrews, Gabriel Brown, Delaney and Margaret Taylor; brothers: Tom (Debbie) Waskevich, Mike (Cheryl) Waskevich; and sisters: Kathy (Gerald) Fortier, Stacie Waskevich, Stephanie (Dirk) Card, Pat McGaughey. 

A celebration of Deb’s life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
