Wolfgang (Tony) Arndt, age 71 of Midland, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Stone Crest Assisted Living in Freeland. The son of the late Donald M. and JoAnn M. (Stange) Arndt was born December 4, 1944 in Halbersadt, Germany. Wolfgang served his country in the U.S. Army. In January 2007, he married the former Ilene Babb. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2010. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino, and spending time with his family.
Wolfgang is survived by his son, Tony Arndt of Midland; daughters, Leisa (Jose Revelo) of New York City, Cristina Dickerson of Grand Rapids, and Joanna (Andy Hammond) Stephens of Midland; grandchildren, Joseph (Tiffany), Jessica, Anthony, Nicole (Chad), Jalen, Jordan, and Jasmine; four great-grandchildren; and Step sons, Steven and David Burgess.
Funeral service for Mr. Arndt will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Reverend Michael T. Sawicki of Aldersgate United Methodist Church officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
