Wilma June Rapson, of Midland, died on October 26, 2013 at the age of 99. Wilma was born June 22, 1914, in Saginaw, a daughter of the late Charles and Faye (Cone) Betts. She married Harold M. Rapson on September 19, 1936. They lived in Midland together for 61 years before his death on April 3, 1998. Mrs. Rapson was a member of the Midland First United Methodist Church since 1926, joining at age 12, and volunteered for many years on Church Bereavement Dinners. She also made winter hats and scarves for donation, in addition to hats for cancer patients. She always loved to make foods for family members, making sure everyone had their favorites when they came to visit.

Wilma leaves her daughter, Susan Albee (Bob Davis) of Redford, and her daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Beasley Leffew of Bloomington, Illinois. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Albee Hall and husband Jake Hall of Rochester, and James Albee (Seasen Pruett) of Redford. She is also survived by her Great Granddaughter, Clare Margaret Hall of Rochester. Also surviving are nieces Pat Schroeder (Beaverton), Sharron Walsh (Midland), Jean Bilow (Midland) and Joann Von Brock (Florida) and a nephew, Dan Craig (Freeland). In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ellen, in 1949; her sister Betty Jean Craig; her sister Rhea Mielke; and her brother LaVerne Betts.
