Wilma M. (Laur) Skutt

Wilma Marie Skutt, age 87 of Midland, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her home. She was born March 29, 1935 in Fisherville to the late Burl and Edna (Latoski) Laur. Wilma married William Skutt on July 3, 1965 in Midland. They shared 34 years together before his passing in 2000.

Wilma loved being creative with her favorite activities being sewing, crocheting, gardening, and doing crafts. She was a wonderful cook and everyone loved her baking. Most of all, Wilma will be remembered for the love she had for her family.

Surviving are her children, Kevin Dow and Sharyl Skutt; granddaughter, Autumn Smith; great grandson, Travis Lynch; sisters, Nancy Brown, Joyce Rosecrans, Bettie Wallace and Linda Sapp; and many extended family members and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her children, Mark Kucken, Kurt Knoll, Karry Knoll, Kelly Miedema; grandson, Jeremy Gillett; and brothers, Robert Laur, Burl "Butch" Laur, and Gerald Laur.

Funeral services for Wilma will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:30 am until the time of service. Private burial will be in Midland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Senior Services of Midland, 4700 Dublin Ave. Midland, MI 48640.
