Willis Norman Pratt

Willis Norman Pratt, age 79 of Midland, Michigan died Sunday April 10, 2011 at Nottingham Place in Midland. The son of the late Willis and Lois (Buchan) Pratt was born on October 5, 1931 in Benzonia, Michigan. Norman had served in the Navy from 1951 to 1955. On May 30, 1958 he married the former Ida Devericks and she predeceased him on May 16, 2007. Norman worked as a sand blaster for the Dow Chemical Co for 35 years, retiring in 1986. Norman and Ida enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Honor where they hunted, mushroomed and made maple syrup.
Norman was a member of the Sanford American Legion and a Lifetime member of the VFW.

He is survived by cousins, Arden (Lynn) Bradford of Bear Lake, Kim (Debra) Bradford of Bear Lake, Tim (Vicky) Bradford of Kaleva, Pat Williams, Gus Ely, Evelyn Tooley , Paul Hammond, Gerald Hammond and Charles Hammond all of Honor.

Funeral services for Mr. Pratt will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2011 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, 4210 N. Saginaw Rd., Midland, MI 48640. Visitation will be from noon until time of service. Interment will be in Homer Twp. Cemetery.
