William Francis Peterson died on October 21, 2012 at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland. He was born on October 15, 1938 in Omaha, Nebraska to William Ludwig and Marie Peterson. He grew up in Detroit and attended New York Military Academy. Bill served in the U.S. Army, playing trumpet in the 324th Army Band. He was a member of the American Legion Berryhill Post 143 in Midland.
   
   He worked in sales most of his life, working for Carey Plumbing and Heating and National Plumbing Stores. He and his wife, Florence, also managed their own company, ImageTek.
   
   Bill was a member of Midland Baptist Church. Although he had not been able to attend due to his health recently he kept in close contact with Pastor Payne.
   
   Bill is survived by his only daughter, Genevieve and her husband Stephen Abrams of Mecosta, grandson Daniel, and stepdaughters Terri Coble, Diane Irwin, Charlene Grablowski, and Valerie Rushing and their families.
   
   He was predeceased by his first wife Genevieve Marie in 1975. In 1990 he married Florence, she predeceased him on September 3, 2012.
   
   Sincere thanks to the staff of the ICU and Dr. Pena for their diligent and outstanding care, and the staff at Brittany Manor, where Bill had lived the last few years, for their compassion and understanding.
   
   Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson MILLER Funeral Home and cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on November 10, 2012 at Midland Baptist Church, 5009 North Jefferson Avenue Midland, MI 48640, led by Pastor Jim Payne. In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of the family.
