William R. Lamphere

February 4, 1938 — July 21, 2022

William R. Lamphere, age 84 of Midland, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at MyMichigan Health in Midland. Bill was born to the late Clarence and Aletha (Costley) Lamphere in Midland on February 4, 1938. He was a graduate of Midland High School and retired Dow Chemical machinist and electrician. His family were very special to him. Together they shared a lifetime of memories and many laughs.

Surviving are his sons, Kevin W. Lamphere of Midland, Scott (Karen) Lamphere of Coraopolis, PA; daughter, Kimberly K. Lamphere of Midland.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia "Kaye" Lamphere of whom he married in Midland on December 14, 1956. They shared 63 years together before her passing in 2020.

Funeral services for Bill will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Private interment will be in Midland City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill's name may be offered to Kindy Care Center, 2041 E. Freeland Road, Freeland, MI 48623.
