William E. French

William E. French, age 69 of Midland died at the MidMichian Medical Center on Sunday, March 9, 2014. The son of the late Elmer and Rhea (Smith) French was born on December 21, 1944 in Midland where he was raised and educated, graduating from Midland High School in 1964. On December 18, 1965 he married the former Doris Goeke at the Floyd Church of God. William had worked for the Dow Chemical Co. for thirty one years, retiring in 1998 as a head operator. He was a member of the Midland Amateur Radio Club and the Planetary Society. Mr. French is survived by his wife, Doris and sons Tom French of Deland, FL and Dan French of Midland. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Kailey Moore, Eric French and Paige French. Sisters Esther (Ted) Smith and Chris French also survive him. Memorial service will be conducted at noon on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Gordonville United Methodist Church with the Reverend Tom Schomaker officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the family. Arrangements are by the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home where
