William C. "Bill" Pretzer

William C. "Bill" Pretzer, age 91 of Breckenridge, Mi., passed away early Tuesday morning January 15, 2019 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Hospital in Saginaw. The son of the late William F. and Pearle (Schroder) Pretzer was born in Unionville, Michigan on March 19, 1927. Bill served in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed with The Dow Chemical Co. for over 37 years, retiring in 1982. Bill enjoyed restoring antique tractors, going to tractor shows, taking care of the farm and raising cattle. On July 4, 1945, Bill married the former Eulaine F. Hancock; and after 65 years of marriage she passed away on June 25, 2010.

Surviving is his daughter, Lois (Buck) Young of Breckenridge; daughter in law, Cheryl Pretzer of St. Louis, Michigan; grandsons, William "BJ" Pretzer, Chris Young, Jason (Nicole) Young; great grandchildren, Christopher, Makayla, Paige, Hanna, Taylor, Katelyn, Lexi, Carly, Kayleah, Jayda & Ashley; 1 great great grandson, Theodore; special friend, Carmen Adams. In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by son, Tim Pretzer and brother, Theodore Pretzer.

Funeral and committal services for Bill will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday January 18, 2019 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Military Funeral Honors being provided by the United State Army and the Midland Area Veterans. Interment will be in Porter Township Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Community Living Center/ Palliative Care c/o Aleda E. Lutz VA Hospital.
