Wei-Cheng "Fred" Lee, age 91 of Midland, passed away on Tuesday October 17, 2023 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. He was born in&Luho, China and immigrated to the US for graduate school.Fredhad been a Midland resident for over 55 years andhad been employed with the former Dow Corning until his retirement. He enjoyed playing tennis well into his 90s, playing Mah-jongg with his friends on the weekend and was a avid sports fan.
He is survived by hiswife of 65 years,Wen-Lan "Nancy" Lee; son, AndyLee and wife, Geri; daughter, Grace Lee andhusband,Phillip Hyun; anddaughterApril Lee andhusband,Steve Schalkhauser; 8 grandchildren (Ryan, Charles, Autumn, Quincy, Reiley, Ruby, Sydney and Jessie),2 great grandchildren (Joshua and Lydia);andbrother, Wei-Kai Lee. Fred was preceded in death by brother, Wei-Ming Lee andsister, Wei-Hui Lee.
Per the wishes of Fred,cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
