Warren R. Woodcock, 81, of Midland died Thursday, June 25, 2009 at his home.
The son of the late Herbert D. and Lydia (Grasley) Woodcock was born in Midland on December 4, 1927. Warren married Jean Weidenmier on June 7, 1946 and after 60 years of marriage, she predeceased him, September 10, 2006. Warren had worked for the Dow Chemical Company in the service department, retiring in 1978. He enjoyed hunting and tinkering. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His latest enjoyment was taking the great grandchildren on rides with his "mule" in search of dinosaur bones.

Mr. Woodcock is survived by his son, Daniel (Diane) Woodcock of Midland; daughters, Linda (Rick) Whitehead of Dexter, New Mexico and Laurel Thompson of Midland; grandchildren, Joshua (Sarah) Woodcock, Calvin (Kim) Woodcock, Jacob Woodcock, J.D. (Deanna) Farless, Gene (Lori) Thompson, Stephen (Amy) Thompson, John (Mari) Cihiy and Christina (Shawn) Renn; -8- great grandchildren; brother, H. Duane (Barbara) Woodcock of Midland; and sister, Marie (Pete) Peasley of Midland.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son in law, George Thompson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, June 29, 2009 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor David G. Mulder of Homer United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-7 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the service.
Donations in Mr. Woodcock's memory may be offered to Midland Community Cancer Services.
