Warren H. Finkbeiner, age 84, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Midland, died Friday March 25, 2011, at Casa de la Luz Hospice in Tucson. The son of the late Henry W. and Naomi (Stabler) Finkbeiner was born on July 19, 1926, in Sebewaing, Michigan, and he was raised and educated in Sebewaing and Kilmanagh, Michigan, along with his brother, Robert, who died in 1978. Warren served in the Pacific in the United States Army during World War II. On August 22, 1948, in Birmingham, Michigan, Warren married the former Anne Jane Moore, who preceded him in death on October 31, 2009. Warren received a degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University in 1949 and worked as a chemical engineer for the Visking Corporation in Chicago, Illinois. Warren pursued a DDS at the University of Michigan and established a practice in Michigan in 1957. Warren practiced dentistry in Midland until his retirement. In Midland he was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Warren belonged to Exchange Club, and he enjoyed fishing, curling, and golf.
Surviving are his daughters, Amy Daehler of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, and Julie (Kenneth) Plax of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Annette Daehler, Scott Daehler, Charles Daehler, and Irene Plax. He will be greatly missed.
In accordance with Warren's wishes, he was cremated, and his ashes will be interred in Midland City Cemetery. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be offered to the Alzheimer's Association and the Love Light Trees of the Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland.
