Vivian E. McLean age 88 of Midland died Wednesday March 5, 2014 at Toni & Trish House. The daughter of the late Elmer and Elpha (LaVier) Hickerson was born on December 14, 1925 in Midland where she was raised and educated. On July 9, 1945 she married Robert McLean in Midland and he predeceased her on June 20, 1999. Vivian made a career in food service. She started with the Dow Chemical Co. cafeteria and later moved to Midland High School. She retired in 1986 as the Head Cook for Dow Corning Corp. Vivian was an active member of the Floyd Church of God and was a caring and giving person that would help anyone in need.

Vivian is survived by her son Dennis (Susan) McLean and daughter Deborah (William) Hawk both of Midland. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Melissa Humburg, Wendy Tremblay, Phillip Wendt Jr., Toby Wendt and Tonya Hitsman and also eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara Clark, Carolyn Curley, Marilyn Owen and predeceased by brothers Donald, Harley, Sam, Keith, Harry Hickerson and sisters Wilma Batch, and Helen Kennedy.

Memorial Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, March 10, 2014 from the Floyd Church of God with the Reverends William Caroffino and Andy Scheller officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorials may be offered to the Toni & Trish House or to Mid Michigan Home Health Care (Hospice). Arrangements are by the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
