Virginia L. Parsons, age 93 of Midland died Thursday July 18, 2013 at Tendercare of Midland. The daughter of the late Adolph and Nellie (Whitehead) Wade was born on January 29, 1920 in Midland where she was raised and educated. On January 6, 1939 she married Lloyd Parsons in Midland. After 46 years of marriage he predeceased her on April 25, 1985. Virginia had worked for the Midland A&P Grocery Store for ten years prior to going to the Dow Chemical Co. where she worked as an office professional, retiring in 1980 after twenty years of service. She was an avid genealogist and volunteered for many years at the Grace A. Dow Library helping others with their genealogy histories. Virginia was a member of the Mayflower Society and member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mrs. Parsons is survived by her daughters, Lloya (Carl "Ed") Torres, Sheryl (James) Henson both of Midland; daughter in law, Georgeanna Parsons; three grandchildren, Steve Torres, Tracey Henson, Todd Henson; five great grandchildren, Macy Doster, Kenadee Torres, Sofia Sanchez, Silas Sanchez, Sebastian Sanchez; her sister, Peggy Jones; special niece and nephew, Rhonda Torrez and Don Jones; great nephews, Rob Howard, Brian Jones; and great nieces, Lisa Neidel and Suzy Torrez. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Stanley Parsons.
Cremation service, with interment in Midland Cemetery has been arranged by the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home where personal messages of condolence may be offered at www.wilson-miller.com Donations in Virginia's memory, may be offered to St. John's Lutheran Church.
