Virginia Merda

Virginia Merda, age 93, of Midland, passed away Thursday December 14, 2017 with family at her side.

She was born on September 16, 1924 in Midland, Michigan to the late John and Antoinette Merda. Virginia was a graduate of Midland High School. She worked as a bookkeeper at several auto dealerships retiring from McArdle Pontiac in Midland. She enjoyed her home especially her flowers, yard, and home decorations while living in the same home all her life.

Virginia was close to extended family. In recent years, she attended holidays and major family celebrations at the homes of her sister Margaret, her nephew Richard, and nieces Debra and Patricia.

Virginia is survived by many nephews and nieces being especially close to Richard (Pam) Sochacki, Debra (Tim) Cass, Patricia (Robert) Sardiga; grandnephews and grandnieces including Eric (Erika) Cass, Kyle (Samantha) Cass, Brad (Carolyn) Sochacki; great-grandnephews Kollin Cass, Noah Cass, and Wyatt Cass; and great-grand nieces Teresa Sochacki, Keagan Cass, and Ella Sochacki.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Walter (Helen) Merda, Chester (Mary) Merda, and Victor (Geraldine) Merda; sisters, Helen (Clifford) Merda, Mary Merda, and Margaret (Harold) Sochacki.
