Violet E. Kinney, 95, of Midland, died Friday, February 12, 2010, at the MidMichigan Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 26, 1914, in Poseyville, MI and lived there most of her life. She married Wilbur Kinney on January 19, 1935. She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved life and lived it fully. She had a great sense of humor which she shared with everyone she met.
Surviving are her daughter, Shirley (John) Wontorcik, and son, Charles (Fran) Kinney; six grandchildren, Cathy (John) Van Meter, Gary (Jackie) Wontorcik, Linda Bryant, Karen Robinson (Mike) Nentwig, Cheryl Kinney, and Gayle (Jeff) Springer; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brothers, Fred (Joann) Reeves of Sanford, Richard (Margaret) Reeves of Mesa Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lena (Donaghy) Reeves, her husband, Wilbur Kinney, and by her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Peg Reeves, and sister-in-law Maxine Reeves.
Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday February 15, 2010 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Marble will officiate. Interment will follow in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
