Thomas Glen Hodges, Sr., age 80 of Midland, passed away Sunday December 5, 2021 at his residence. The son of the late Gerald and Barbara (Leposky) Hodges was born in Clare, Michigan on April 13, 1941. Tom worked as a heavy equipment operator for Fisher Construction and with the Operating Engineers Local 324. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, racing, listening to Elvis music and had a great since of humor, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family. Tom was the first President of the Midland Area Steelheaders group.
Surviving is his wife of 57 years, the former Shirley Zegelien of whom he married on December 27, 1963; children, Shari Hodges - Stanton of Midland, Theresa Pickett of Doniphan, Missouri, and Tom Hodges, Jr. of Midland; 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerald (Linda) Hodges, John (Laura) Hodges; and sister, Julie (Jim) Collin. Services to celebrate Tom's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service.
