Thomas N. Green

Thomas N. Green, age 66 of Midland died at the MidMichigan Medical Center on Monday, October 8, 2012.
The son of the late George and Charlotte (Patten) Green was born on October 22, 1945 in Pt. Huron and was raised and educated in Byron. Tom served with the US Army during the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star V, a Bronze Star Merit , two Purple Hearts and three Army Commendation Medals. On April 27, 1968 he married the former Charyl Bailey in Byron and moved to Midland in 1972. Tom worked for International Operating Engineers Local 324, retiring in 2008 after more than thirty years of service. He was well know as a very talented and gifted person, giving of both his time and resources.

Tom is survived by his wife Charyl; daughters, Raquel Green and Kerrie (Jeffrey) Thomson; foster son, Steve Pickens; grandchildren, Kenneth Green, Bailey Green, Kristin Cassidy, Kaylynn Cassidy, Kollin Cassidy; great grandchildren, Justin Hollar and Haydenn Cassidy; and sister, Sandra Green.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Green and sister-in-law, Cheryl Green.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, October 13, 2012 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Bohman officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2 pm to 8 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service.
Military honors will be under the auspices of the Midland Area Veterans and the United States Army Honor Guard. Memorials may be offered directly to the family.
