Tammy Mischelle Stevens met her Savoir, Jesus Christ, on March 1, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 5, 1965 in Flint, Michigan to William Stevens and Beverly (Cutcher) Swedorski. Tammy attended school and graduated from Byron High School in 1983. She moved to Midland in 2004 and with her husband Jeff Gale opened The Key Shop. Tammy was employed at Mobile Medical Response as a medical biller. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her children who were the love of her life.
Tammy is survived by one daughter, Brittanie Drendall; twin sons, Jacob and Nicholaus Drendall; her mother, Beverly (Michael) Swedorski; brother, William (Amy) Stevens; Step brothers, Darren (Kellie) Swedorski and Michael Swedorski; two nieces, Ashley, Audrey (Scott); four nephews, Zackary, Caleb, Seth, and Brandon. Also, her special friend and companion Matt English and daughters, Stephanie, Megan and Sarah; many aunts, uncles, cousins and her faithful kitty Squirrel. She is predeceased by her father William; grandparents, Evelyn and Walter Cutcher and Lucy VanLoan.
The family would like to thank Roger and Judy Sherman, Kris Jaynes, Kevin Behnke and his sons; also, to Heartland Hospice, (Lisa, Morgan, Jennifer, Marilyn, and Zack for their support.
Funeral services for Tammy will take place 12 noon Wednesday March 5, 2014 at Midland Evangelical Free Church. Rev. Gib Giblin will officiate. Family will receive friends at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd Midland on Tuesday from 2 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family.
