Susan H. (Church) Schehl

Susan Hannah Church Schehl, 67, of Midland, MI, passed away on Tuesday, September 10th, 2019.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 20th, 2019 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Wallace H. Mayton III (Wally) of Memorial Presbyterian Church officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Midland City Cemetery.

Susan was born in Midland, MI on October 2nd, 1951. She graduated from Midland High School in 1969 and continued on to receive two degrees in Business Management and Fashion Merchandising from Northwood Institute of Indiana.

Susan married to the love of her life John Schehl on July 10th, 1976; they were married for 43 years. Susan and John had two children, who she cherished and loved dearly, Hannah Baker Schehl and John Thomas Schehl.

Susan worked at Baker Real Estate for many years and served on the Board of Directors of Wolverine Bank. She enjoyed her retirement by spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, reading, arts and crafts, bird watching, and spending time with her poodles.

Susan is survived by her spouse, John Schehl. Her children, Hannah and John Schehl. Her grandchildren, Ryan Wharton Jr. and Izabella Schehl. Her brothers, William B. (Penny) Church and family, John B. (Carol) Church and family and Barb (Thomas) Church and Zoe. Her sisters, Sarah A. Church and family, Margaret R. Church and family, Mary E. Church and son Jamie Wakins and family, and her niece Kimmy (Schehl) Kane and family.

Susan was preceded in death by her daughter Hannah Louanna Schehl, her mother Hannah Baker Church, father, John A. Church, and brothers, James and Thomas Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
