Steven R. Vinson

Steven R. Vinson, age 62 of Sanford, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at his residence. The son of the late Robert and Helen (Putnam) Vinson was born September 7, 1955 in Midland where he was raised and educated. Steven worked alongside his family for 20 years as a Tree Specialist with Vinson Lawn and Tree Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing his guitar, going to the casino, and helping others.

He will be greatly missed by his significant other, Ellen S. Jerry-Vinson; children, Josh (Katelin) Vinson, and Lindsey Vinson; grandchildren Alexis Vinson, Alivia Morgan; brother Joseph Vinson; sister Teresa (Robert) Vinson-Dopp; nieces and nephews, Tricia, Matthew, Holly, Noah, Gage, Declan step children, Jamie Jerry (Josh Dawson) and Carla (Junior ) Kaufman; step grandchildren; children, Brooklynn Pnacek and Evelynn Dawson.

Per Steven's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 17, 2018 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 pm until the time of service. Memorials in Steven's name may be offered to the American Cancer Association.
