Steven R. Peters

Steven R. "Pops" Peters, age 58 of Auburn, formerly of Saginaw, died early Saturday morning May 29, 2010 at his residence. The son of Geraldine A. (Hene) and the late Robert W. Peters was born in Saginaw on December 10, 1951. Steve had been employed with Delphi in Saginaw until retiring in 2004 after 27 ½ years of service. He was a former member of Tri Township Fire Department having served for over 11 years, UAW Local 467 and NRA. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Surviving is his wife the former Mary Devine, whom he married on October
26, 2001; 2 sons, Steve (Becky) Peters, Randy (Nicole) Peters all of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Geri Peters; many brothers and sisters.

Per the wishes of Steve cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held 12:30 pm Saturday June 5, 2010 at Auburn Williams Fire Station, 1090 W. Midland Rd, Auburn. Rev. David Dunn will officiate. Family will receive friends at the fire station on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers family has requested that memorials be offered to Henry Ford Hospital Lung Transplant. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd Midland.
