Steven G Glinski

March 17, 1950 — September 29, 2025

Bay City

Dr. Steven G. Glinski was born March 17, 1950, and died September 29, 2025. Steve was born in Detroit to Stanley and Francis Glinski. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Stan. He is survived by his sister, Carole and her children, and Stan's wife, Grace, and her children. He was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law. He graduated from Denby High School in Detroit and went on to work as a welder at Chevrolet Gear and Axle. He attended Macomb County Community College and University of Detroit where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree. He went on to pursue an education at University of Detroit Dental School, graduating in June of 1983.

After graduation, he opened his dental practice in Detroit in the David Whitney Building. In 1992, Steve moved to Sanford, MI and opened a very successful dental practice in Saginaw Township. He retired in 2008. He loved living on Sanford Lake and was devastated when the dam failed and there was no lake to enjoy.

He moved to Bay City in 2024 and enjoyed living on the river in downtown Bay City.

He could fix anything that needed fixing or improving, except the cancer that took him from us. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marlene, of 53 years, his son Shannon and his daughter, Marie (Thomas Peeler). He had 6 grandchildren who were the light of his life, Dylan, Vera, Deklan, Taiya, Nola and Aydan. He loved watching his grandchildren in their many activities, hockey, soccer, dance, pom, flag football, gymnastics and cheer, and would travel countless hours to cheer them on. They were truly the joy of his life.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held at a later date. Per Steve's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Sanford Youth Sports, P.O. Box 372, Sanford, MI 48657.
