Stephen P. Ohm

Stephen P. Ohm, age 55 of Midland. The son of Susanne (Sauer) Ohm and the late John Ohm was born on June 1, 1956 in Gary, Indiana. He graduated from Purdue University, North Central, in Westville, IN as a RN. In addition to being a registered nurse, he was a trained paramedic, and a certified arborist. He owned his own business for many years, Northwoods Tree Service in Valparaiso, IN. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he played with the Worship Band. Stephen worked as a handyman in the Midland area.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Susanne Ohm; son Michael Ohm of Valparaiso, IN, daughters Nichole (Adam) Snyder of Highland Ranch, Colorado, Melanie Ohm and Julia Ohm both of Valparaiso, IN and two grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers John Ohm, Mark Ohm and sisters Betsy Miller of Munster, IN and Peggy Morandini of Chesterton, IN.

Memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 28, 2011 from the Midland First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from noon until time of service on Thursday. An additional memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at 5:00 pm at the Ogden Gardens gazebo, at the corner of Campbell Street and Harrison Blvd, Valparaiso, IN 46358. Arrangements are by Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
