Stephen Wesley Arthur

Stephen Wesley Arthur, age 62 of Midland, died in a fatal truck accident on July 22, 2022. Stephen enjoyed being a father and taught his son the love of nature and animals. As a family, Steve, Noah and his mom, Nickie participated in the Midland 4 H Club for many years. They had great fun raising and showing pigs and various animals. They also had a passion for blue grass music and attended the annual Wheatland Music Festival in Remus.

Steve resided on the family farm, Arthur Acres. He loved all creatures great and small. Steve managed the annual hay harvest, as well as 8 chickens, a horse, pigs, rabbits, cat named Raymond and his beloved companion dog, Pearl.

He worked for many years with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiner Local Union, volunteered at his church First United Methodist of Midland and his community.

Surviving is his son, Noah Stephen Arthur; mother, Dorothy L. Arthur; sister, Spring Arthur Jackson and her husband Tom; niece, Sarah Jackson Frost; nephew, Philip Wesley Jackson; Noah mom and good friend, Nickie Dumbovic. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Joy E. Arthur.

Private services have taken place with interment in Homer Township Cemetery with Rev. Anita Hahn officiating. A memorial gathering of family and friends is planned for later this summer. Memorial contribution may be directed to First United Methodist Church youth ministries, or Humane Society of Midland County.
