Shirley E. O'Connor, age 83 of Midland, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Brittany Manor Assisted Living. The daughter of the late William and Marie (Myers) Merrill was born on December 30, 1933 in Midland. On August, 18, 1956, Shirley married Jerry O'Connor at St. Brigid's Catholic Church. After 14 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on June, 25, 1971
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Maureen (Mark) Ellis of Midland, Jerilyn O'Connor of Midland; grandchildren, Mark, Brent, Matthew, Annalisa, Jerry, and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Darran O'Connor.
Per Shirley's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. Memorials in Shirley's memory may be offered to Special Olympics or an organization of one's choice. Personal messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.wilson-miller.com
