Sheila Sue Smith-Rogers Jr.

Sheila Sue Smith-Rogers Jr., of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 74.

Born on October 11, 1951, in Midland, MI, Sheila was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lilah (Huntoon) Smith. She married James "Jim" Rogers, with whom she shared a joyful and loving life. Together, they were devoted members of Clare Congregational Church.

Sheila was a talented seamstress for many years and found great joy in sewing. She also had a passion for gardening, especially tending to her flowers. Her love for family often took her to Florida to visit those close to her heart.

In addition to her husband Jim, Sheila is survived by her three stepchildren: Jamie, Lara, and Joe; her brother Tom Smith of California; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sheila will be remembered for her wonderful compassionate spirit and caring nature. Her warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.

Sheila’s memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Wilson Miller Funeral Home. Pastor Connie Bongard will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 4-7 p.m. and again on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
