Sharon Kay Spangler

Sharon Kay Spangler, age 78 of Sanford, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on April 2, 1946 to the late Hartley and Eunice (Guthrie) Thrush. She was the youngest of nine children and enjoyed life on her family's farm.

She married Dennis Spangler on May 22, 1965 and they enjoyed 59 wonderful years together. Many fishing trips, casino nights, card games, and raising a family. Sharon leaves Dennis behind along with her two children; son, Denny Spangler and daughter, Kristy Spangler; her only grandchild and light of her life, Brandon Spangler; and her special family dog and companion, Riley, who loved her so much.

Sharon was a wonderful human with a huge heart and cared for so many. She had many close family members, special friends and kids who called her their second mom. She loved many and many loved her. We will greatly miss her but know she is no longer in pain and enjoying her family in heaven.

Per the wishes of Sharon, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Miller Funeral Home of Midland, Michigan.
