Sandra K. (Justin) Schreiber, age 65 of Midland died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, May 12, 2011.
The daughter of the late Richard and A. Margaret (Peterson) Justin was born June 20, 1945 in Port Huron. Sandee was raised and educated in Midland, graduating in 1963 from Midland High School.
On January 12, 1973 she married Hendric Schreiber in Midland.
Sandee had been employed at Pardee Cancer Treatment Center of Midland for over 35 years. She was passionately dedicated to the numerous clients that she served.
She had boundless energy; loving to cook, bake, read, crotchet, knit and go shopping with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, wintering in Arcadia, Florida and spending time at Wixom Lake in the summer and searching for a Dairy Queen along the way.
Sandee will be always be remembered for her love and appreciation of life, the chirping birds, beautiful gardens; the way she valued and treasured her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Hendric "Hank"; sons, Richard (significant other Barbie Waterman) Battice of Midland, Chris (Brooke) Schreiber of North Carolina; daughters, Kimberly (Jeff) Ligney of Midland, Sarah Schreiber of Midland; God daughter, Kelly Proctor; grandchildren, Josh (Kim), Christopher, Jordan, Darlynne, Alicia, Hannah, Aubrie; great grandchildren, Traeden, Ashton, and one due in November; brothers, Wally and Richard Larson; and sister in law, Andrea (Ray) Williamson.
Funeral services for Sandee will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 19, 2011 from First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. Brent L. McCumons officiating. Interment will follow in Westside Cemetery, Freeland.
Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm, Wednesday from 2-8 pm and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Memorials are suggested to Sandee's favorite charity, Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Midland.
