Sandra Jean "Sandy" Gay

Sandra Jean "Sandy" Gay, age 80 of Sanford, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at home with family by her side. She was born in Midland on September 19, 1943 to the late Donald and Fern (Moe) Francis. Sandy married Dennis Gay on October 8, 1960 and they shared 44 years together. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially during holidays and liked to read.

Surviving are her children, Scott (Kym) Gay of Bon Aqua, TN, Tammy (Bob) Marks of Sanford, Gina Russell of Sanford; grandchildren, Jessika (Dak) Hirsbrunner, Rob (Martina) Marks, Bryan Marks (Kayla Neibert), Brandon Russell, Matt Russell, Eric Streeter, Becca Streeter, Shaun Streeter (Lindsy); great grandchildren, Skyler Spencer, Katie Streeter, Ivan Streeter, Scarlett Marks, Griffin Marks, and Wilhelmina Marks; siblings, Steve (Linda) Francis, Sue Dexter, Sherry (Bob) Armstrong, Sindy (Bill) Spangler; and brother in-law, Mike Schmidt.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Gay; daughter, Kristie Hendrick; infant daughter, Rebecca Gay; and siblings, Sally Schmidt, Shelly Cherry.

Funeral services for Sandy will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Rev. Reed Swanson will officiate with burial to follow in Jerome Twp Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 – 8 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be offered to the wishes of the family.
