Samuel M. Rodgers Jr., age 80 of Midland died at the MidMichigan Medical Center on Friday March1, 2013. The son of the late Samuel and Clara (Chapman) Rodgers Sr. was born on October 13, 1932 in Johnstown, PA where he was raised and educated. Mr. Rodgers graduated from the University of Pittsburg with his BS degree in Chemical Engineering. On June 1, 1953 he married the former AnnaJean Swatsworth in Johnstown, PA moving to Midland in 1956. Mr. Rodgers retired from the Dow Chemical Co in 1995 as a Senior Consultant, after 39 years of service. He was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church. Sam enjoyed times with his entire family.
   
   
   Mr. Rodgers is survived by his wife AnnaJean Rodgers: his son Brian (Debra) Rodgers of Midland and his daughters Amy (Ken) Jolliffe of Grand Rapids and Cindy Rodgers of South Lyon. He will also be missed by grandchildren: Matthew Rodgers, Todd Rodgers, Brad Rodgers, Christina LeBlanc, Ashley Wall, Sarah Coutts and great grandchildren Alex Coutts, Arianna Aker and Elijah Rodgers-Ortiz. Brothers J. C. Rodgers and Jack Rodgers also survive and he was predeceased by a brother Robert.
   
   
   Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Freeland. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Glenn Baumann Fund, in care of the MidMichigan Medical Center.
