Ruth I. Lytle, age 90, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2019 at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. The daughter of the late Otto J and Hattie (Opperman) Stellmacher was born in Midland on October 28, 1928. Ruth had been employed with Bell Telephone for many years. She then went to MidMichigan Community College where she received her LPN degree. Ruth worked for Saginaw Community Hospital and for Dr. J. Daniel Cline. She enjoyed doing volunteer work, listening to music, singing and playing her organ.
Surviving is her son, Scott (Cathy) Lytle of Superior Township, Michigan; daughters, Lori (Carl Smith) Lytle of Whiteville, North Carolina, Shari Parrs of Erie, Colorado; grandchildren, Scott (Kendra) Lytle, Jr., Craig (Jessa) Lytle, Tracy (Brian) Shilling, Rachelle (John) Bellanger, Karah Parrs; great grandchildren, Adeline and Henry; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Donald; brother, Milton; great granddaughter, Isla Jude Schilling; son in law, George Parrs.
Per the wishes of Ruth cremation has taken place. The family will receive guests at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Thursday April 11, 2019 from 2 until 4:00 p.m. Burial of her ashes will be in Midland City Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be offered Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. Personal messages of condolence may be offered to the family at www.wilson-miller.com
