Ruth A. (Gorham) Taylor, age 88 of Midland, died Saturday February 25, 2012 at her residence. The daughter of the late Leslie and Jennie (Craig) Snyder was born in Midland on February 22, 1924 where she was raised and educated. Ruth had been the office manager for R.W. Electric for over 62 years a company that was operated by her husband Thomas. She was involved with the Girl Scouts, a member of the Monday Club, enjoyed dancing and working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles. On October 4, 1946 Ruth married Thomas Gorham. He died in 1973. She then married Samuel Taylor on December 27, 1974. He died in 1976.
Surviving are her children, Debbie (Russell) Eisenhardt of Sanford, Gayle (John) Blues of Midland, Thomas H. (Gloria) Gorham of Midland; grandchildren, Melaine (Marty) Blues, Jeffrey (Jillian) Blues, Steven (Jennifer) Gorham, Misty (Charles) Chapin, Roy Eisenhardt, Hunter Blackhurst; great grandchildren, Preston Blues, Amya Blues, Gage Chapin, Hanna Chapin, Mitchell & Lawson LaBean. In addition to her parents and husbands, Ruth was preceded in death by grandchildren, John Thomas Blues, Tammy & Edward Davis; brother, Jack Snyder; sisters, Elizabeth Whitmer, Beulah Huntley, Doris Felton.
Funeral services for Ruth will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 28, 2012 at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Rev. David G. Mulder of Homer United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial maybe offered to the MidMichigan Medical Center Love Light Trees, MidMichigan Home Care (Hospice) Multiple Sclerosis.
