Ruth M. Dixon, age 82, of Midland, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Born on October 11, 1943, in Farmington, Pennsylvania, Ruth was the daughter of the late Paul and Emily (McElroy) Savage.
Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She had a passion for cooking and spent several years working as a cook in local nursing homes. Ruth enjoyed visiting casinos, spending time with friends and family, and taking naps. Her caring nature and compassionate spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Ruth is survived by her children, Teresa (Paul) Rollin, Duane Mowery, Anthony (Lisa) Williams, and Daniel Williams; her grandchildren, Kristin (Randy) Marcel, Danielle Feeley, Dana (Barett) Hotz, Wyatt Rollin, Michael and Abby Mowery, Haley, Jacob, Isaac Williams and Autumn Williams; as well as six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Kathy (Bobby) Coleman and Tammy Thomas; brothers Donald Savage, Warren Savage, and Mike (Deb) Savage; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Mowery and her sisters, Olive Savage and Alice Fraley, and sister-in-law Janis Savage.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Lisa from Residential Hospice for the exceptional care she provided to Ruth.
A visitation service to honor Ruth’s life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, located at 4210 N. Saginaw Rd., Midland, MI 48640. Memorial contributions may be directed to the organization of donor’s choosing.
