Ruth A. Beebe

Our loving Ruth A. Beebe, age 80 of Midland, died Friday afternoon June 3, 2011 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The daughter of the late Charles P. and Hazel (Feathers) Glynn, Sr. was born in Midland on November 23, 1930. Ruth was a cook at several restaurants over the years, Ellen's Country Kitchen and The Hickory House to name a few. She was an avid bingo player, loved being outdoors at family functions, playing cards and dancing. Later in life she loved watching the Kentucky Derby. Throughout her years she was a counselor to many people.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Vern (Shelby) Snider, Randall (Melody) Snider, Joseph (Barbara) Snider, Mark (Heidi) Tweedie; grandchildren, Vanessa (Steve) Thompson, Cody and Casey Snider, Chelsey Snider, Michael and Brooke Tweedie, Eileen Card and her children, Joshua and Amy Card; brother, Charles (Betty) Glynn; sister, Charlotte Heikkila; special people who cared for her, Kelly Burleson and Diane Mellon; and many good friends. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter and son in law, Sandra and Albert Soper; brothers, Donald and Lester Glynn.

Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 8, 2011 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Family will received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Arthritis Foundation.
