Russ Burnell

Russell Howard Burnell, age 68 of Midland passed away on November 12, 2011 at home, with his family, after a brave struggle with cancer. The son of Duwayne Stockwell and the late Zillah Stockwell was born January 3, 1943. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the Sanford American Legion. Russ is a retired member of Local 85 of the Steamfitters, Pipefitters, Welders and Plumbers. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family.

Russ is survived by his wife Janet (Wright) Burnell, son Russell Burnell of St Louis, daughters Amy Bolten of Alma , Jessica Burnell of Midland, 6 grandchildren, father Duwayne Stockwell of Houghton Lake, sisters Jackie Morse of Midland, and Shelby Abler of Zephyrhills FL

Per Russ's wishes, a cremation has been handled by the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
