Roy F. Edwards

Roy F. Edwards age 85 of Midland died at his residence on Saturday, Sepember 21, 2013. The son of the late Howard L. and May G. (Dice) Edwards was born in Midland on June 5, 1928. Roy served with the Army. On November 23, 1948 in Midland he married he former Ella J. Miller. Roy worked for the Dow Chemical Co. in maintenance for thirty years, retiring in 1982. Roy and Ella wintered in Florida and Arizona for many years and he enjoyed camping and deer hunting. Roy also enjoyed tinkering with cars.

Roy is survived by his wife Ella, sons: David L. (Delores) Edwards of Hemlock, Gerald R. (Marion) Edwards of TN, Gordon F. Edwards of Breckenridge, daughters: Brenda K. (Jim) Smith of Midland and Diane E. LaLone of Weidman. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, many great grand children and his sister Betty Vandivier.

Funeral service for Mr. Edwards will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with interment in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of service. Memorials may be offered to Hospice of Michigan, 3995 Fashion Sq.
