Rose Marie Willsie

Rose Marie (Schroeder) Willsie, age 52 of Auburn, went home to be with her Lord & Savior with her family by her side on Tuesday February 14, 2012 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The daughter of the late George and Linda (Schwerin) Schroeder was born in Midland on February 3, 1960. She grew up in the Crump area and graduated from Pinconning High School in 1978. Rose enjoyed family gatherings and being with her nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews.


Surviving is her husband, Rich of whom she married on August 16, 1997 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Midland; sisters, Helen Schroeder of Pinconning, Karen (Richard) Bohl of Midland; brothers, John (Cynda) Schroeder of Macomb, George Schroeder of Auburn; former brother in law, Roger Obertein of Rhodes; nieces, Sara Obertein fiancé Lyle Helm, Mary Obertein boyfriend Shawn Dashkovitz, Jennifer Bohl fiancé D.C. Sampson, Devon, Logan & Jordan Schroeder, Cal Korkoske. Also surviving are aunt & god mother, Lillian Meyer; numerous cousins, friends, great nieces and nephews; sisters & brothers in law, Barb (Larry) of Texas, Maria of Midland, James (Penny) of Sterling, Janet of Florida, Karen (Will) of Missouri, and Judy (Darby) of Midland. Her cats which she cherished Gizmo & Harlow. Family wishes to extend a big thank you to the Doctors and Nurses who took such good care of Rose during her final days. You all were a great comfort to the family. Roses great niece Sophia say's "you can fly with the angels now, you are free of pain".


A celebration of Rose's life will take place at 1:00 pm Saturday February 25, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Rev. Matthew Makela will officiate. Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society.
