December 14, 1953 — December 6, 2012

Robin Jonathon Pollard passed away at his home on Thursday, Dec 6th after battling cancer for seven months. Robin is survived by his wife of 26 years Jinnine Pollard, and four children, daughters; Elizabeth of Port Huron, MI and Stephanie of Mammoth Lakes, CA; stepsons, James Dean (Marie) of Tennessee and Frank Paredes (Cynthia) of Port Huron and four grandchildren, Rylee, Julia, Gage, and James. He is also survived by his sister, Alison (Joe Tinsley) of Chelsea, and brother, Philip (Luci) of Ann Arbor and many nieces, nephews and long time friends. Robin worked 33 years as a journeyman tree trimmer and was a past member of IBEW local 17. He was often called to work long days in weather emergency situations in Michigan and elsewhere. Robin loved lake living, particularly boating with his wife and friends and enjoying the beauty of the lakes. He loved and enjoyed his children and was able to take a last trip to California to visit his daughter Stephanie and celebrate Thanksgiving together. He was an avid music lover, playing in a band when he was younger, and he owned an impressive music collection.

Robin has donated his body to The University of Michigan Medical School in hopes that future students will eventually develop better treatments and cures for cancer. A celebration of Robin's life will take place on his birthday, December 14th, at the Eli Gallup Meeting Room at Gallup park in Ann Arbor, Mi. Please visit between 5 - 7:30 pm.
