Robert Boyd Wiseman, age 57 of Midland died at his residence.

The son of Edith (Croxton) and the late Boyd Wiseman was born December 2, 1953 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana where he was raised and graduated from Carroll High School in Huntertown, Indiana. Robert attended two years of college at Purdue University then moved to Midland in 1979. He worked for Normal Wood Products (Case Systems) as a software engineer.
Robert was a member of Homer United Methodist Church and attended East Ashman Church of God where he started the Singles Group, was active with the choir and a musician. He designed and installed the sound system at Eagle Ridge Church of God.
Robert enjoyed sailing and woodworking.

He is survived by his son, Adam (Karen) Wiseman of Ann Arbor, Joel Wiseman of Bay City; daughter, Nicole (Steven) Schumacher of Pinconning; grandchildren, Amber and Ashley Schumacher, Charles and Joshua Wiseman; mother Edith Wiseman; brothers, Don Wiseman, Kenneth Wiseman; sisters, Kayleen (Robert) Bowker, Sheryl (Garry) Thrush, Cindy Sorrell, Carol (Dave) McNall, Jan (Michael) Hutchinson; the mother of his children, Mary Jane Smith Stagray; and his former wife, Julie Clipper-Wiseman.

Funeral services for Mr. Wiseman will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, February 21, 2011 from Homer United Methodist Church with Pastor David G. Mulder officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow in Homer United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be offered to the Church. Funeral arrangements are by the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
