Robert Earl Moe (Bob), of Midland, passed away Wednesday July 23, 2025 at the age of 100. Bob was born February 19, 1925 to the late William and Lucille (Irelan) in Midland. Bob was married to Mildred Catherine Horning on July 15, 1944. Mildred passed in 2007. They had 63 wonderful years together.
After graduating High School, Bob joined the Army serving in WWII. After discharge, Bob worked construction until hiring into Dow Corning as an Operator. Bob was a member of the American Legion –Berryhill Post 165. Southtown Little League Park was named after him due to all the hours Bob spent working at the park. Bob was active in Midland Township Police Department, and in Midland Township and the Bullock Creek area. He was Manager of the Men's Senior League Slow Pitch Softball and had been inducted into the Midland Softball Association Hall of Fame, and was a long-standing member of The Midland Township Fire Department.
Bob is survived by his children, James R. (Sandra) Moe; Linda K. Armstrong; Carol A. Palmateer; Marilyn Moe (Mike Hicks); and Mary (Mark) Sherwood; sister, Dorothy Quick; sister-in-law, Kathy Moe; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded by his siblings William Moe, Dale Moe, Richard Moe, Carl Moe, Tom Moe, Terry Moe, Richard Moe, Gary Moe, Shirley Rooker, Diane Nelson, Clara Mae Penny, Katherine Ward and his longtime companion, Jennie Cron.
The Moe family wishes to express their appreciation to Bob's caregiver, Ruthann Edwards, for her kindness, care and compassion while caring for him.
Funeral Services Celebrating Bob's life will be held at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, Thursday July 31, 2025 at 1:00pm with Pastor Larry Moe from New Life Vineyard Church officiating. Burial will be immediately after the services at Homer Township Cemetery with Military Honors provided by United States Army and Midland Area Honor Guard. Family will receive guests at the funeral home Wednesday July 30, 2025 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Legion – Berryhill Post 165 or Midland Township Fire Department.
