Robert D. Holsworth, age 76 of Sanford, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, died Sunday October 28, 2012 at MidMichigan Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Roy and Maude (Cosper) Holsworth was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 14, 1936. Bob worked in the construction business all his life, and was a self employed Masonry Contractor for 30 years. In retirement, Bob loved working in his yard, being a grandpa, spending time with his family, playing his guitar, hunting deer with his sons and grandsons, and fishing for blue gills. Bob was a fixture in Sanford; he had many friends that will miss his wit & smile.

Surviving is his wife of 55 years, the former Sharon Kay Coin; sons, Tim (Tammy) Holsworth of Auburn, Dan (Cheryl) Holsworth of San Diego, Dean (Kari) Holsworth of Sanford; grandchildren, Brett, Brandi (Austin), Noah, Kristen, Josh, Paul, Dan and Mark; great grandchild Ellia; brother, Roy (Joyce) Holsworth of Mecosta; brother and sisters-in-law, Terry (Donna) Coin, Mary Holsworth, and Judy How. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, Dick, Mack, and Jerry; sisters, Jean, Bonnie and Betty; and a nephew, Shawn Coin.

Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012, from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Jerome Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
