Robert John Albrecht, age 89 of Midland, Michigan, died Monday, April 28, 2025 at his home. Bob was born in Detroit, Michigan, September 27, 1935 to the late Robert H. and Cecelia (Block) Albrecht. He graduated from Lapeer High School in 1954. Bob joined the Army after school and upon discharge, he went to Barber School. From there, he became a very accomplished businessman, owning and operating 8 different businesses through the years.
Bob was a previous member of The Elks Club, American Legion, and many other organizations. He enjoyed music, old war movies, golfing, going to the casino and playing bingo. He spent time traveling and vacationing with his wife and family, but his great joy was watching his sons and grandsons grow up. He never missed one of their school or sporting events. Bob was also a lifetime sponsor to Children's International.
Surviving is his Beloved wife of 55 years, the former Sharon Holtz, of whom he married on November 25, 1969. Also surviving is their son, Scott (Tammy) Albrecht; grandsons, Bryce and Alec Albrecht; sisters, JoAnne St. Pierre and Mary Sequin; brother, David (Emily) Albrecht; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was "Grandpa Bob" to many, and loved by all. In addition to his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his step sons, Brian and Craig Davis; brother, Donald Albrecht.
Funeral services for Bob will be 1:00pm Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael T. Sawicki officiating. Family will receive guests on Monday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and on Tuesday from 12:00pm until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy, may consider, St. Jude, Open Door or Reece Endeavor of Midland.
